Joining Shanghai’s Automotive Electronics and Chip Ecosystem to Advance Supply Chain Collaboration
The 2026 China International Industry Fair (CIIF) was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from October 12 to 16. As a member of the Shanghai Automotive Chip Joint Pavilion, Shanghai Watson Rally Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. showcased its full-dry Electro-Mechanical Brake (EMB) at booth 8.2H-A086 of the Future Transportation Industry Show (FTIS).
The joint pavilion was organized by the Shanghai Transportation Electronics Association (STEA), the Shanghai Automotive Chip Industry Ecosystem Community, and the East China Operations Center of the China Automotive Chip Industry Innovation Strategic Alliance (China Automotive Chips Alliance). It brought together 14 companies specializing in automotive chips and core components to showcase innovations across the automotive supply chain.
During the exhibition, Watson Rally welcomed several government officials and industry representatives to its booth. They included Tang Wenkan, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization; Han Dadong, Second-Level Inspector of the Commission; Ji Yi, Deputy Director of its Automotive Industry Division; Xia Yifei, Deputy Director of its Semiconductor Industry Division; Yao Siting, Deputy Director of its Division of Wireless and Electronic Information Industry; Lu Yi, President of the Shanghai Transportation Electronics Association (STEA) and General Manager of SAIC Motor’s Economic Operations Department; and Pan Jiming, Chair of the Shanghai Automotive Chip Industry Ecosystem Community and General Manager of SAIC Motor’s Planning Department. The visitors learned about the product features and industrialization progress of Watson Rally’s EMB technology and exchanged views on intelligent chassis technologies and domestic chip applications.

Watson Rally’s independently developed full-dry EMB uses an electric motor to directly actuate the braking mechanism, eliminating conventional hydraulic lines and brake fluid.
Watson Rally achieved batch production of its full-dry EMB at the end of 2025. The system is now equipped on unmanned logistics vehicles, while the company has also secured production program nominations from leading OEMs for passenger-car EMB projects. At its first-phase manufacturing base in Pinghu, Zhejiang Province, the company has established multiple production lines for hydraulic braking products and continues to strengthen its capabilities for scaled manufacturing.
Watson Rally is also actively engaged in collaboration across the automotive chip industry. During CIIF 2026, the company participated in the 6th Yangtze River Delta Automotive Chip Exchange and Business Matching Conference, connecting with companies across the automotive chip supply chain. In parallel, Watson Rally is participating in a joint research program on domestic chip applications for unmanned logistics vehicle EMB, organized by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, leveraging real-world application scenarios to advance the validation of domestically developed chips for intelligent chassis systems. The company has also been invited to serve as an enterprise representative in AE10 Zhimouhui, an industry advisory forum under the Shanghai Pudong Automotive Chip Innovation Community.
Guided by its mission, “Challenge the Limits for BreakThrough Technologies,” Watson Rally will continue to focus on automotive chassis braking systems and work with industry partners to advance the deployment of full-dry EMB technology across more vehicle models and application scenarios.
