Government leaders, investor representatives, and company executives gathered to witness this historic moment. On the morning of July 26th, the launch ceremony for the mass production of Watson Rally's Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) system took place in Pinghu.
Watson Rally (Zhejiang) Automotive Chassis Systems Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shanghai Watson Rally Automotive Technology Company Limited. As Watson Rally's first EPB smart manufacturing base, it was established in the Pinghu Economic and Technological Development Zone at the end of 2023 with a total investment of over 58 million RMB.With strong support from the Pinghu Economic and Technological Development Zone, the company not only completed the first-phase construction at a rapid pace but also deployed advanced mass production lines and R&D testing laboratories.
The launch ceremony marks a significant breakthrough in Watson Rally’s production capacity and the official launch of its research and development laboratory. The laboratory is fully equipped with proprietary experimental equipment developed in-house. It covers hydraulic performance testing, electrical performance testing, electro-control software and hardware calibration testing, complete vehicle calibration testing, comprehensive fatigue testing under high and low temperature and pressure conditions, and vibration fatigue testing simulating complex road surfaces. Additionally, it has the capability to test both wet (hydraulic braking system) and dry (EMB) braking systems, ensuring high-performance braking system products and providing high-quality, timely service support for customers.
Led by Vice General Manager Zhang Jie, the guests toured Watson Rally (Zhejiang) Automotive Chassis System Co., Ltd., where they highly praised the company's production capabilities and management system.
Two weeks ago, Watson Rally announced the successful completion of its Pre-A round funding, raising tens of millions of RMB, bringing the total financing amount to over 100 million RMB. Cai Xudong (Jason), Founder of Watson Rally, revealed during the launch ceremony that the company’s next round of financing will soon be initiated. The founding team of Watson Rally has a solid background with global automotive braking giant Delphi (USA). The team is one of the few in China with the capability for independent development, manufacturing, and supply chain management at an international level. With its core technological innovations in electronic parking brake (EPB) systems and future electro-mechanical brake (EMB) technology, Watson Rally is steadily becoming a domestic leader in the EMB field.

At the launch ceremony, Mr. Tu Dongjun, Vice Chairman and General Manager of Pinghu Economic and Technological Development Zone Investment and Development Group Co., Ltd., delivered a speech. He warmly welcomed and congratulated Watson Rally on the successful completion of Phase I construction and the start of EPB mass production in Pinghu.
