On December 7, the 2024 Pudong International Talent Port Forum was held at Zhangjiang Science Hall. During the event, Pudong New Area announced the winners of its 2024 "Pearl Talent Program" and presented awards.
Cai Xudong (Jason), Founder and CEO of Watson Rally, was honored as a "Pearl Leading Talent." Cai Xudong (Jason) has over 20 years of experience in automotive braking systems. In 2022, he founded Shanghai Watson Rally Automotive Technology Company, focusing on developing Electro-Mechanical Brake (EMB) technology. EMB eliminates traditional hydraulic systems, delivering faster, more precise braking responses and optimized spatial efficiency. It is widely regarded as a disruptive innovation and a key solution for future braking systems.
Watson Rally is one of the earliest domestic companies to focus on EMB development. The company has achieved internationally competitive capabilities in both independent development and manufacturing. Within two years, Watson Rally has completed the design and prototyping of a full EMB product range and established deep collaborations with leading industry players. The company has secured over RMB 100 million in funding, backed by industrial capital, specialized funds, and top-tier state-owned investors, providing a solid foundation for future growth.
